Sleep training
Many studies in developmental neuroscience have discussed the impact of the different methods on a baby’s brain and development. As a mum, you don’t just want your baby to have a healthy sleep pattern (and finally your own much-desired sleep), but you also want to make sure this does not harm your baby in any way. Researchers have come to divergent, often controversial conclusions, from stating that high stress levels from crying would leave the baby’s brain susceptible to a greater vulnerability to emotional disorders later in life, to other more recent studies showing that the “cry it out” method has no adverse effects on attachment and behavioural development.
Elizabeth Pantley’s “No Cry Sleep Solution” is a highly customizable method which is based, like my CuddleTough® method, on meticulous and systematic observation, gentleness and consistency.
The Six-Phase “Gentle Removal” system ensures flexibility and adaptability to different ages and different parenting approaches, leaving also room for some trial and error without affecting the final results!
I will provide you with many tools to learn more about your baby and his/her habits, and once you learn the method you will be able to replicate it with all your children in a completely independent way.
